Creating this year's calendars with HTMLCAL Desktop edition

1. If you would like to include various U.S. holidays in your calendars, download the events data file from our Support page. Save this file in the directory called

c:\htmlcal\root\

2. Open an MS-DOS prompt window on your computer. Click on Start | Programs | MS-DOS Prompt:

3. Switch to the c:\htmlcal\root\cgi-bin directory by typing

cd \htmlcal\root\cgi-bin

4. Type the command: htmlc-nt /y2008 /m1-12

Following the /y is the year you want to create calendars for. Following the /m is the month range you want to create calendars for. This example creates all 12 calendars for next year.

5. That should create your calendars for this year. The results should look similar to this:

You can repeat step 4 to create calendars for any year you like.

If you chose not to download the 2008.dat file, or if one is not available for the year you want to create calendars for, then you may see an error message stating the software could not find the events file. You can ignore this message as the software will create that file for you the first time you enter an event for next year.
